Ministry Of Women and Child Development launches internship programmes for young students

 

The Ministry of Women & Child Development (MWCD) has released a notification regarding the invitation of young students/scholars for around 50 short-term internship programmes in research and related activities, on intern.wcd@gmail.com.

 

The selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 and a certificate after successful completion of the internship.

 

The drive aims to involve young students/scholars in research related activities.

 

What are the eligibility criteria?

 

Candidates enrolled in undergraduate courses are eligible for one-month internship and those who have obtained their bachelor’s degree can apply for an internship of 2-3 months.

 

The selection of the interns will be done on the basis of academic merit or interview.

 

Long-term internships:

 

Long-term internships are also offered for those enrolled in postgraduate courses or those who have completed their master’s degree. Ministry may also consider candidates of experience and PG/ PhD degree holders for this long term-internship.

 

For long-term period 8-10 internships will be offered by the Ministry.

 

Important date to remember:

 

The last date for the graduates and those currently enrolled in undergraduate courses to apply as interns is December 12, 2018.
