Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) hosted its 5th annual convocation on March 27, 2019. Around 688 students from various programs including Doctoral, Global MBA, Business Management, Executive MBA, Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Sustainability Management, Mass Communication, Urban Management, and Governance, Masters in Business Finance graduated.
Sanjiv Mehta, the Chairman and Managing Director at Hindustan Unilever Limited, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Convocation Speaker. He insisted students to focus on creating value and not simply valuation. He added, “When worth creation happens, valuation all the time follows,”. He also presented the medal to the meritorious students.
Rajive Kaul, Chairman of the board of governors, XUB, spoke about the economic state of affairs of the arena. Expressing his faith in the youth of the nation, he said, “India has a rapidly growing middle class and a younger population and I have the confidence that all the youngsters will be deeply involved as an integral part of this expansion story of future India “.
