Applications are invited for undergraduate programmes @ Shiv Nadar University

One of India’s leading private, research- centric, multidisciplinary university, Shiv Nadar University, has started inviting applications for all Undergraduate programs for 2019 academic session on Thursday. Interested candidates can fill in the application form available at www.snu.edu.in. Admissions will be based on Class XII results, performance in the entrance test (SNUSAT and Academic Proficiency Test (APT)). The last date to appear for the test will be May 20.

 

During a press event in the city today, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Singh, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Shiv Nadar University said, “It is our constant endeavor to provide students with a depth of knowledge in their chosen subject and a broad-based understanding of allied disciplines.

 

In the 21st century, subjects studied in silos restrict students’ creative freedom and problem-solving skills. Being a research university, we emphasize on learning by doing so that students are ready to deal with real-life challenges when they graduate.”

In the recently released National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), which is published by the Government of India, Shiv Nadar University was ranked at 52 in the ‘University‘ category. Shiv Nadar University has been recommended by the Expert Committee, appointed by MHRD, to be considered for the “Institution of Eminence” initiative by the Government of India. As a philanthropic institution, Shiv Nadar University believes in providing equal opportunities to meritorious students, irrespective of their economic background

 

The University, therefore, offers generous scholarships to all students based on their Class XII score in the first year and the scholarships are continued every year depending on their CGPA scores.

 

Over 500 students will graduate from the University in 2019 and 91% of these students have already been placed across leading organizations including Adobe Systems, Capgemini, Cognizant, Cisco, HCL, Xerox, Royal Enfield, Goldman Sachs, among others.

 

During campus placement this year, the highest salary offered was Rs 31.05 Lakh per annum. The remaining 9% of students have opted to pursue higher education at renowned international universities.
