LPU collaborated with Cardiff Met (UK) for developing food-technology twinning programs, student and faculty exchange programs

Lovely Professional University collaborated with Cardiff Metropolitan University(Cardiff Met (UK) for developing food-technology twinning programs, student and faculty exchange programs, joint research work, etc.,

 

As part of this collaboration programme Director for MSc Food Science & Technology at Cardiff Met Simon Dawson visited LPU campus and had discussions with its top management, senior functionaries and visited the related departments at LPU.

 

LPU Registrar Dr Monica Gulati signed the MoU on behalf of LPU. Director, Division of International Affairs at LPU, Aman Mittal, Dean of Agriculture Department, Dr Ramesh Sadavarti, and Dean of Biotechnology Department, Dr Neeta Raj Sharma, also witnessed the collaborative endeavor.

 

“In line with Cardiff Met’s internationalization strategy, it is seeking to develop high-quality transnational education (TNE) partnerships, and we are delighted to now to be working with LPU,” Dawson said on the occasion. “We hope that the partnership with LPU will flourish, enable students to study Cardiff Met programs and to develop staff and student exchanges between Cardiff Met and LPU.”

Having extensive experience in developing food safety and quality management systems, Dawson, at Food Industry Centre of Cardiff Met, works on food and drink businesses, assisting with food safety, product development and quality matters. Using a variety of innovative teaching techniques, he motivates students for higher level qualifications and employment also.

 

Endorsing the commitment to the collaboration with Cardiff Met Uni, Director Mittal stated: “Internationalization is at the core of LPU strategic objectives. This MoU with Cardiff Met marks an important milestone in the realization of LPU’s aim to globalize Indian education.”

 

The much awarded, Cardiff Met is a thriving and modern university based on two teaching campuses in the capital city of Wales, and traces its heritage to 1865. It offers over 100 different programs, and has international education partnerships in many countries, including Egypt, Greece, Morocco, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education affirms that it meets all expectations for academic standards and student learning opportunities
