Delhi University : Online registration process for PG admissions begins today @ du.ac.in . Check for more details

The University of Delhi (DU) will start the Online registration process for Delhi University’s Postgraduate admissions 2019 has begun today. Eligible candidates can visit the official website www.du.ac.in to apply.

 

Meanwhile, over 1.63 lakh aspirants have registered on the Delhi University’s (DU) admission portal so far. DU had commenced the online registration process at 8 pm on May 30. It will conclude on June 14 and the first cut-off list is likely to be released on June 20.

 

DU Admission 2019: Total number of registrations

 

Of the total number of registrations, 50,057 aspirants are in the unreserved category, 13,028 in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, 11,269 in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 2,361 in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 1,357 in the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category.

 

Delhi University (DU) PG admission 2019: How to apply

 

  • Log on to the official website of DU, www.du.ac.in
  • On the homepage of DU, click on the ‘PG Admission’
  • Create a new user account (Follow direction) and click on the New Registration’ link
  • Enter all the required information in the space provided
  • Pay the application fee
  • Click on the ‘Register’ and a registration confirmation will be sent on your email id
  • Download a soft copy and take a print out of the filled-in DU Application Form 2019

 

Delhi University (DU) PG admission 2019: Open days

The Dean Students’ Welfare Office will organise Open Day session as per the below mentioned schedule:

Application fee for DU PG admission 2019:

  • Unreserved/OBC: Rs 500 per course
  • SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs 250 per course
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): Rs 250
  • DU increases seats for EWS category by 10%

 

This year, the varsity will be effecting a 10 percent increase in seats for economically weaker sections and there will be a rise of close to 6,000 seats.

 

The varsity will be effecting the increase in two phases 10 percent in the first year and the remaining 15 percent in the next year.

 

While registering for the courses, the students will have to specify whether they are from Economically Weaker Sections and will have to upload a certificate as proof

 

There will be an online calculator for marks, easing the job of colleges and also making it easier for students

 

DU PG admission 2019: List of documents required for uploading at the time of registration:

 

Photocopy of all the documents listed below

 

  • On the photocopy of each document, the applicant must sign and write “self-attested”
  • Scan all these self-attested copies and keep them saved on the device (laptop or mobile device) on which you will carry out the online registration. You will need all these scanned, self-attested copies handy to upload them to complete the online registration
  • The applicant will not be able to preview the application, pay the fee or submit the application without uploading the mandatory documents.
