PU slips one slot in Times Higher Education ranking

Panjab university

The Panjab University has slipped one point among Indian universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking 2020, released on Wednesday. The university, placed in 601-800 rank slab of the universities across the globe, finds a place at 21st position in India. Last year, its world ranking was the same as this year, but the Indian ranking was 20.

Times rankings are based on factors such as teaching, research, citations, industry income, and international outlook. The PU scored good points in citations, but lagged behind in research and international outlook. Nonetheless, it improved on almost all parameters compared to last year.
