IIT BBS delegation visits Singapore institutions

IIT Bhubaneswar director RV Raja Kumar along with some of the deans of the institute visited Singapore between November 6 and 11 to establish collaborating connections with reputed institutions in this foreign country.

They visited Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) to study the faculty hiring and recruitment processes, basic infrastructure, teaching programs and research environment of the institutions, said Raja Kumar.

“We expect to get applications from graduates or teachers of these universities for faculty positions in IIT. Besides, we will forge collaborations for course sharing, joint research and mutual learning of best practices,” said the director.

He also said that the institute will send faculty members to these foreign institutions for collaborative work in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR-VR).
