Jawaharlal Nehru Univerisity vice-chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has released a notice for students to use Aarogaya Setu App which is mandatory to travel via railway “As you know, Aarogya Sethu App is a one-stop solution for spreading awareness about Covid-19 and to trace contacts to identify potential Covid-19 victims. It is essential that all of us in JNU download and install the Aarogya Setu app. As per the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the Aarogya Sethu App’s design ensures privacy, and the personal data collected by the App is encrypted using state-of-the-art technology,” said the statement released by the VC.
Moreover, he encouraged students to download the Aarogya Sethu App on their phones.
Aarogya Setu app importance
It mandatory for the passengers travelling via train to download Aarogya Setu app. Railways Spokesperson RD Bajpai has confirmed that the app is now mandatory. All student passengers would also have to carry their mobile phones from which they have booked their tickets.

“Indian Railways is going to start a few passenger train services. It is mandatory for passengers to download Aarogya Setu app in their mobile phones, before commencing their journey,” the tweet said.
“Passengers should come to the station after installing the Aarogya Setu app and it is mandatory for travel. The railways have made it compulsory and the passengers should install it for their own safety. Since all passengers carry mobile phones, this should not be an issue. Also, we will provide the passengers with all the help needed to use the app,” Railways Spokesperson RD Bajpai said.
