Ahmedabad University Admissions 2020: Admissions in UG courses with class 10, 11 marksheet

Ahmedabad University has commenced its admission process for the academic year 2020-21 amid the coronavirus pandemic which surrounds the nation. Since the board examinations for class 12 students have been delayed due to the nationwide lockdown, the university has decided to accept class 10 and 11 marksheets when the students apply for their undergraduate programmes.

The application process for admission in Ahmedabad University started on April 18, and they made the provision of students seeking admissions through class 10 and 11 marksheets as most of the students across the nations have not yet received their class 12 results.

The notice by Ahmedabad University states,” We will be allowing for possible delays in the announcement JEE (Main) All India Rank (in the case of the BTech Programme). Students are to submit Class 10 and Class 11 marksheets/gradesheets, and add their JEE (Main) results as they become available.”

As of now, the details for the admission process at Ahmedabad University for postgraduate and PhD courses are yet to be announced by the authorities.

Admission process to take place online

To avoid risking the health and safety of any student who wished to apply to Ahmedabad University, the admission process is taking place completely online. Students are required to fill online forms to register for the undergraduate course of their choice and upload required documents.

All personal interactions between the students and the authorities of the university will be shifted to video conferencing platforms. The university has also launched a helpline number and email service if the students have any queries regarding the academic session.

The notice released on the official Ahmedabad University website also advices students to keep an eye out for any notice released by the university regarding the admission process or any new updates and information regarding the upcoming academic session.

The board exams for Class 12 students have been delayed for most of the states and are being rescheduled by state boards in the months of June and July. This has delayed the admission process for a lot of universities for the new academic session.
