Bankers Institute of Rural Development
Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow is an autonomous institution (Registered under Societies Act, 1860) promoted by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for undertaking training, research, and consultancy in the area of agriculture and rural development banking. Presently, BIRD, Lucknow is conducting more than 200 training Programmes in a year. The Institute also houses four Centres, viz., CPEC, CRFIM, ACE, and CCC.

Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must be either:-
A citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
How to Apply
Candidates can apply online in the month of June(also differ) every year. No other mode of application will be accepted. Pre-requisites for Applying Online: Candidates should have a valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will be essentially required for receiving any communication/ call letters/ advice from the bank by email/ SMS.
GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION: Candidates will be required to register themselves online through sending the self-attested prescribed documents in the notification to the e-mail bird@nabard.org
