NEAT 2.0 by MHRD – Need of the Hour! The COVID -19 pandemic has completely changed the habitual classroom learning routine. Online learning is gaining momentum as the go-to solution for educational institutions to connect with their students.

The pandemic has costed students their much valuable time. The lockdown has made it difficult to conduct day to day classes and has made a huge gap between the institution and their students.

MHRD has identified this gap and launched an initiative called as National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) for a National Alliance with such technology developing EdTech Companies through a PPP model as a ‘need of the hour’.

The National Education Alliance of Technologies (NEAT) is to verify, aggregate, and deliver EdTech solutions directly to the students, giving them a wide choice to select the technological solution that would suit their requirements, thereby improving their overall learning outcomes.

The Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development has launched NEAT Portal First Phase on 12th January 2020. More than 98000 students/learners have been registered on the NEAT portal till date. NEAT Team had conducted awareness programs at various locations of the country and also conducted many webinar/social media campaigning to encourage the students/learners.

From their learning of implementation NEAT 1.0, the MHRD has found that the B2B mode is also required and have also decided that more EdTech Companies with more products are to be invited for the benefit of learners.

MHRD through their implementing agency AICTE floated an Expression of Interest to invite the EdTech Companies for NEAT 2.0. It consists of many new features which is providing a good opportunity for the EdTech companies to come forward and serve the country.

MHRD is inviting you to share your expression of interest through their online portal www.aicte-india.org between 10th July 2020 to 7th August 2020.

They have also said that the selected education technology solutions would be showcased on the NEAT platform, developed by AICTE, thereby enabling wide outreach among the learners.
