The education minister made the statement in response to a written question in the Lok Sabha about whether the government plans to revise the existing reservation norms under the NEP.

About NEP:

The Union Cabinet approved the NEP 2020 on July 29. This is the first education policy of the 21st century and replaces the thirty-four-year-old National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986.
