DU Admissions 2020 facing problems or have a query regarding online admission process here is what to do

Delhi University, DU has released the first cut off list and has switched to online admission mode this year due to Covid-19 pandemic. Only 920 students have managed to complete the formalities on the first day of admissions under the first cut-off list on Monday. Candidates in the case of facing any issue regarding online admission process can file their grievance online through a redressal form released by DU and send it on du.ac.in.

This year admissions on day 1 have been lower and internet issues and the online process is being cited as the reason for the same. The candidates in case of any query and grievance can fill the application on du.ac.in, the direct link of which can be sought here.

Last year, on the first day of admissions, 2,026 students were able to finish the admission process on day 1. This year 19,086 students had applied for 70,000 UG seats across 60 colleges on the first day. Out of these, 1,628 applications were approved by the admission committees and only 920 students completed the admission process after paying the fee.

Dean of DU Admissions Shobha Bagai said, “Some colleges expressed concerns and we have advised them to improve internet connectivity because a number of people from the same network connect to the same portal, which slows it down. So we have asked them to arrange for additional routers. Besides, this is the first time colleges are conducting admissions online and it was the first day.”

The admission process under the first cut-off would be concluding by 5 pm on October 14, 2020. The second cut-off list will be released before October 19, 2020.
