Management Aptitude Test or more commonly know as MAT is a standardised test that has been conducted since 1998. The aim of MAT is to help business schools to screen candidates when it comes to admission for MBA and allied programs. The government of India has approved MAT as a national level test back in 2003 and B-schools both national and international can use the scores of MAT to admit students into their institution. Over 600 B-schools in the country consider MAT scores when it comes to admitting students and scoring high scores in MAT can help you to get into your desired B-school and lay foundations for starting a successful professional career. Aspiring candidates can opt from 50 different cities across the country as exam centres. The exams which are conducted on three modes such as Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT), and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) are conducted four times per year. The application fee for PBT, CBT, and IBT are 1,650 rupees and if you are applying for both PBT and CBT, the application fees will increase to 2,750. Aspiring candidates will have three exam slots to appear for the exam and they are 10 am to 12:30 pm, 4 pm to 6:30 pm, and 6 pm to 8:30 pm. The exams will be conducted in English and +1 mark is awarded for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
