SSC and CA Exam candidates are permitted to appear for exams with valid ID and admit card in Gujarat amid lockdown

Gujarat government will allow the candidates who carry valid admit cards and ID documents to travel and appear for the exams like CA, NIC, and SSC during complete curfew in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Gupta said that, For the next two days, Candidates can travel within the city with valid documents.

Due to the upsurge in COVID cases after Diwali, a curfew has been implemented in Ahmedabad city from Friday 9 pm till Monday at 6 pm. The night curfew would continue thereafter within the city. Only shops selling milk, medicines would remain open, during curfew time.

During the curfew hours, public transport services including Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Services (AMTS) buses wouldn’t operate. As of now, no update is available as to how candidates would reach the exam centers amid this curfew time.

Meanwhile, from November 23, the Gujarat government has also decided to put on hold the reopening of schools and colleges. New dates for reopening schools and colleges in Gujarat haven’t been announced so far.

“We have withdrawn the choice to reopen schools and colleges from November 23 for the present. It will be decided in due course,” informed Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama while speaking to the reporters. CA November Exams 2020 would begin tomorrow by following all guidelines at 1085+ centers across the country.

SSC exams would also be conducted across the country as per the schedule. Candidates are advised to arrange their own vehicles to reach the exam center on time to appear for the exams.
