ICAI CA Exam 2020: Few test centre locations changed due to elections on Dec 1

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a notice regarding changes in exam centre locations. The test centres in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Lucknow have been changed to new locations due to the elections scheduled for December 1. The students who will be appearing for the CA exam 2020 will have to report to the new venues.

In its tweet, ICAI stated, “Important Announcement for Examinees of Certain Centres in Hyderabad/Secunderabad/Lucknow-ICAI Nov 2020 Exams-Change in Exam Centre in these cities for the exam scheduled on 1st Dec 2020 only due to Election scheduled on 1st Dec 2020 in these Cities.”

The remaining of the ICAI CA exams 2020 will be held from these centres only, the institute announced. The admit cards issued to the students for the CA November exams 2020 will be valid at the new centres.

Exam rescheduled in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry

Before this announcement, the ICAI had also rescheduled its intermediate and IPC examination in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the destruction and the power outage problems caused in the state by cyclone Nivar.

The ICAI CA exams 2020 have been postponed several times due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic but were finally scheduled for November with several safety guidelines set into place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 between the students.

Candidates were allowed to opt-out from the November exam and sit for the upcoming cycles. ICAI has also announced the dates for the second cycle of the exam, which is scheduled for January 2021.
