Cognitive Science Joint entrance test 2021 on Feb 20; Apply by Feb 06.

Applications have been invited for the Cognitive Science Joint Entrance Test (COGJET) – 2021, a joint entrance test for admission to the Post-graduateprograms in Cognitive Science at IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, CBCS Allahabad, IIIT Hyderabad, Panjab University Chandigarh.

Cognitive Science is the study of the mind – how it comes to be, what it is, and what it does. Researchers and practitioners in cognitive science come from a variety of conventional academic disciplines. Computer scientists, psychologists, neuroscientistsl inguists, philosophers have all contributed to this exciting synthesis of insight into how the mind works. These insights are all the more useful now in trying to construct artificial human-like systems.

Eligibility: Applicant should have completed their 3rd/4th year Under Graduate degree, or should be expecting to finish the degree by June 2021.

Exam Structure: COGJET 2021 to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on 20th February 2021 (Saturday), will be an online test that can be attempted from any location including applicant’s home. The questions will comprise of a small number of research papers and questions on them. A candidate will have to choose exactly one research paper and answer the questions associated with that paper. Applicant will have to write his/her answers and upload them. The test does not have a syllabus but will require elementary knowledge of psychology, neuroscience, mathematics and programming. COGJET 2021 does not automatically make one eligible for admission to a PG program in participating institutions. COGJET 2021, is an enabling exam in which each candidate who appears for the exam will get a performance card giving the candidate’s score on the exam.
