CUSAT 2021 Exam Date Announced; CAT on 12, 13, 14 June

Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT) has announced the exam dates for CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT). CAT 2021 will be held on June 12, 13, and 14, 2021. The exam will be held in the computer-based test format. As of now, the varsity has only announced the exam dates. It has further notified that detailed notification for CUSAT 2021 will be published in the First Week of March 2021.

The notification is expected to have details of the application process, exam pattern, admission process and more. CUSAT CAT is the admission test for admission in undergraduate as well as post-graduate programmes, offered by the Cochin University of Science And Technology.

The exam is held for courses like B Tech & M Sc (5 years integrated) Photonics Programme, B Tech LET Programme, B.Voc Course, M Sc Programme in Sciences (5 years), BBA LLB / B Com LLB, LLM (IPR) PhD and /or LLM (IP) PhD, MCA /MCA Lateral Entry Programmes, M.Voc, MA Economic Programmes, etc.

It usually has MCQ-type questions and is held for a duration of 3 hours. The marking scheme of the exam is +3 marks for every correct answer and -1 marks for every incorrect answer. The pattern of the exam differs from course to course.

For B.Tech and M Sc Programme in Sciences (5 years) CAT, candidates are asked questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. For admission in the B Tech LET Programme, questions come from Maths, English, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics, and General Engineering.

In the B.Voc CAT, questions are asked from Numerical Reasoning ability, English and Numerical Reasoning ability. CAT for BBA LLB / B Com LLB courses contains questions from Law related matters, Reasoning/ Logical thinking, General English and GK/Current Affairs. For the LLM (IPR) PhD and /or LLM (IP) PhD, questions are framed from Proficiency in English, General Knowledge, General aptitude in Intellectual Property Law, Analytical and Reasoning Ability and Aptitude to do Research

In the MCA /MCA Lateral Entry Programmes admission test, questions come from Computer Science and Applications covering areas and logical reasoning. In the MA Economic Programmes test, questions are asked from Economics, Simple Mathematics, Statistics and General Awareness.

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) was founded in the year 1971. It has affiliations with UGC, NAAC, ACU, NBA. It offers undergraduate as well as post-graduate programmes. The admission in both degrees is done through Common Admission Test (CAT). It is situated in Kochi, Kerala.
