JEE Main 2021 Live Updates: BTech Exam (Shift 1) Over; Papers Analysis, Students’ Reactions

JEE Main 2021 BTech Live Updates: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 for Engineering candidates began today, February 24. JEE Main 2021 paper 1 is being conducted in two slots today. The first shift is over, and the second shift will be held between 3 pm and 6 pm. As per data shared by NTA, over 6 lakh students have registered for the BTech paper this year. JEE Main 2021 candidates will be required to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines which include wearing a mask at all times, maintaining appropriate distance from one another at the JEE Main exam centres.

Paper 1 (BE/BTech) is being held at 828 exam centres. Out of the total 6,52,627 candidates, 1,97,771 are female candidates and 4,54,852 male.

6,09,889 candidates have chosen to write the paper in English, 22,758 will take the test in Hindi, and 19,980 will write the JEE Main paper 1 in other languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu).

Analysis of JEE Main paper 1, student reactions, will be available at the end of each shift.

JEE Main 2021 is the qualifying exam for admission to undergraduate programs in NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). JEE Main is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

India’s top five engineering colleges according to NIRF 2020 are all IITs. For admission to them, the JEE Main 2021 will be a preliminary round. Those who achieved a minimum cut-off mark will have to write the JEE Advanced 2021.

NTA JEE Main 2021 Paper

The NTA has relaxed the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2021 exam. Candidates are not required to achieve a minimum score in their Class 12 board exams but simply clear them. Earlier, they had to secure at least 75% to be allowed to participate in the counselling process.
