Our Flawed Education System | Janhavi Gangisetti | TEDxSouthFayetteHS

Description: We all live in a small world but aspire to have a big future. Janhavi will be discussing why today’s school education system needs reform. Many students do not see the real purpose of education due to the lack of learning that actually takes place in school environments. Janhavi will further explain some of the necessary changes that could be made to today’s education system in order for students to excel in the real world. This talk will stress the importance of changing teaching methods in order for the new generation to have a bigger and brighter future. Bio: Janhavi is 14 years old and a freshman in South Fayette High School. She has a deep passion for dancing and swimming. Janhavi has been learning Bharatanatyam, a form of Indian classical dance, for almost eight years and is currently part of the South Fayette Varsity Swim Team. Moreover, she is a part of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Technology Student Association (TSA), and Model United Nations (MUN). Janhavi aspires to one day travel the world with her friends and family and start a non-profit that will help girls all over the world receive an education.
