IIT Guwahati List of Courses

ndian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, has 11 departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centers covering all the major engineering, science, and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, and Ph.D. programs. The Institute of Guwahati is the 6th member of the IIT fraternity. The admission cycle for IIT Guwahati often commences from December with JEE Main registration.

IIT Guwahati offers a full-time BTech and BDes program for the duration of four years. IIT Guwahati offers PG-level courses in MTech, MDes, MA, and MS in several specializations. The Ph.D. program is offered in regular, sponsored, part-time, and self-financed modes. The candidates will be shortlisted as per their applications and scores followed by interview rounds. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) manages and regulates the counseling process for admission to all IITs. The seat allotment through JoSAA is based on a candidate’s JEE Advanced rank and college preference. Candidates who have qualified GATE/ NET (JRF)/ INSPIRE/ CEED can apply for MS by Research and Ph.D. programs.

IIT JAM is a national-level science entrance exam that is conducted on a rotational basis, every year, to shortlist aspirants for admission in MSc and other post-bachelor courses offered at IITs.
