New Delhi:

The registration process for 20,000 postgraduate (PG) seats and for the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) courses will begin today, July 26. The registration window for the PhD and MPhil programmes will also start today. The registration process of the over 65,000 seats for undergraduate (UG) courses will commence on August 2. The last date for registration for PG programmes is August 21 and for UG programmes is August 31.

Prof Joshi said the registration process for MPhil and PhD will also begin on July 26 and the last date will be August 21. “The admission to undergraduate courses will be merit-based, like the previous year. There will be no change in the eligibility criteria for the candidates,” Prof Joshi said.

The First DU cut-off will likely be announced between September 7 and 10, acting vice chancellor P C Joshi announced last week.

The admission process will be completely online like last year.

“To make the admission process hassle-free, a dedicated portal for admissions will be launched soon. This will facilitate students to fill the forms, pay fee and check all details without any problem from the comfort of their home,” the acting VC had said.

“We have faith in the marking system of the CBSE and we will honour it. We are constantly in touch with our colleges regarding the modalities of cut-offs. A calendar regarding the release of cut-off dates will also be issued soon,” Rajiv Gupta, chairperson, admissions, had said.

Delhi University (DU) will conduct entrance tests for 13 courses for the upcoming academic session, with four courses being added this year.

The four new courses for which entrances will be held from this year are Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Masters of Physiotherapy.

DUET-2021 for all PG programmes, selected undergraduate programmes and M.Phil and Ph.D programmes will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for which the dates will be announced soon.

“For admissions this year, the number of test centres will also be increased,” Rajiv Gupta, chairperson, Admissions, said.
