NEET Counselling 2021: Schedule soon to be out, know updates here

NEET Counselling 2021: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET Counselling 2021 will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC. The exam conducting body MCC has released an update related to the structure of counselling for the academic year 2021-22. Applicants who are eagerly waiting for the results can check the official website, i.e., mcc. nic. for more updates and information.

NEET counselling 2021: Important details

NEET counselling 2021 for both UG and PG courses will now be held in 4 rounds for this academic year. As per the official notice, these 4 rounds will be like, AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Round Mop-Up round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy round.

Earlier, this counselling used to be held only for 3 rounds. However, complying with “Order dated 16/12/2021 in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No(s).10487/2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India,” MCC has informed everyone of 4 rounds this year.

This information has also been updated in the Information Bulletins on NEET UG counselling and NEET PG counselling. MCC’s official notice on this also reads, “It is further informed that no AIQ seats will be reverted back to the respective States after the completion of AIQ Round 2.”

NEET counselling 2021: Other details

The results for both UG and PG courses were released some time back and the counselling was expected to start soon after. However, due to some issues with EWS and OBC reservations in AIQ, the Supreme Court put a hold on NEET PG counselling, and hence, a delay was expected in the UG counselling as well.
