About the Program

NIT Rourkela Department of Ceramic Engineering Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is a research opportunity offered to bachelor’s and master’s degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled – “Development of Phenolic Resin-derived Porous Carbon Spheres Modified Superhydrophobic Melamine Sponge for Toxic Dye Removal and Oil Spill Remediation“. The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month 1st and 2nd year and INR 35,000 per month in 3rd year.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering (Ceramics, Chemical, Metallurgy, Nanotechnology/Nanoscience, Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical), with a minimum CGPA of 6.5/10.0 (or 60% aggregate)
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Ceramics, Chemical, Metallurgy, Nanotechnology/Nanoscience, Materials Science, Chemical, Mechanical) with a minimum CGPA of 8.0/10.0 (or 75% aggregate)
  • Have a valid GATE score or NET qualification
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Science (Chemistry/Physics only) with Minimum CGPA of 8.0/10.0 (or 75% aggregate)
Benefits

The candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month 1st and 2nd year and INR 35,000 per month in 3rd year.
