UPSC Civil Services 2023 notification releases today on upsc

As per the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) calendar, the Civil Services Examination
(CSE)notification will be released today on the official website. The UPSC CSE preliminary examination will be conducted on May 28, 2023. Once the notification is released, candidates will be able to apply online for (Preliminary) Examination,2023 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination,2023 through CS(P) Examination 2023 up to February 21,2023.

The Commission releases the notification for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) annually. The notification contains information about the eligibility criteria, important dates, examination pattern, and other important details regarding the examination.

The eligibility criteria for the UPSC Civil Services Examination are as follows:

Nationality: An applicant must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: The age limit for the examination is 21 to 32 years as on 1st August of the year of the examination. There is age relaxation for reserved categories.
Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
Number of Attempts: General category candidates can appear for a maximum of 6 times in the examination. There is relaxation for reserved categories.
Physical Fitness: The candidate must be physically fit and satisfy the medical standards prescribed by the UPSC.
Character and Antecedents: The candidate must be of good moral character and should not have any criminal antecedents.
Other Conditions: The candidate must satisfy all other conditions as specified by the UPSC from time to time.
