UPPSC PCS 2023 Registration Begins Today at uppsc.up.nic.in

NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will commence the application process for UPPSC PCS 2023 examination today, March 3. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to fill in the UPPSC PCS application form 2023 by visiting the website of the commission at uppsc.up.nic.in. While the last date to submit online application fee is April 3, the last date to submit UPPSC PCS 2023 online application form is April 6, 2023. As per the official UPPSC notification, about 173 various administrative positions are to be filled through the Provincial Civil Service (UPPSC PCS) examination, 2023.

Candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognised university or institution are eligible to apply for the UPPSC PCS examination. The age of the applicant should not be more than 40 years old as of July 1, 2023. However, the maximum age for PWD candidates should not be more than 55 years.
The UPPSC PCS 2023 detailed notification will include the application date and details, application fee, proforma of caste certificate, preliminary and important instructions prescribed regarding the subject and syllabus of main examination, names of districts of examination centers, reservation and age relaxation, and other details.

UPSC PCS 2023: Selection process

The UPPSC PCS 2023 selection process will comprise of three stages– preliminary exam, main exam and interview. The preliminary exam will comprise of multiple choice questions (MCQs) for a total of 400 marks. The UPPSC PCS 2023 prelims question paper will be divided into two sections- General Studies I and General Studies II (also known as CSAT). The UPPSC PCS 2023 main exam will be held offline as pen and paper based, followed by an interview for a total of 1,500 marks. The written exam will consist of nine papers, out of which seven will be compulsory, and two will be optional. The final interview will carry a weightage of 100 marks. The candidates who will qualify the UPPSC PCS 2023 prelims and main examination will only be allowed to appear for the final interview round for selection process.
