The Leakey Foundation is offering grants for advanced doctoral students and established scientists to pursue research related specifically to human origins. Leakey Foundation Research Grants are awarded twice annually (in May and December).
Eligibility for Leakey Foundation Research Grants:
- Advanced doctoral students and established scientists are eligible for Leakey Foundation Research Grants.
- Candidates from all nationalities are eligible provided that they are fluent in English
- High school and undergraduate college students are NOT eligible for Leakey Foundation Research Grants.
Value of the Grants:
- The Leakey Foundation’s Research Grants awarded to doctoral students are in the $3,000-$15,000 range with a funding limit of $20,000.
- Larger grants given to senior scientists and post-doctoral researchers may be funded up to $30,000.
