What is The Anant Fellowship 2019?
Anant Fellowship is the flagship programme of Anant National University, a leading private university with Design and Sustainability at its core. Anant Fellowship is a one-year, full-time, post-graduate programme designed as a multi-disciplinary immersion to introduce young practitioners and students to new ideas, knowledge and skills to question, evaluate, invent and redefine the Built Environment.
Who is offering this scholarship?
The scholarship is being offered by Anant National University. Established in 2016 in an expansive, lush green campus in Ahmedabad, the University aims to nurture Solutionaries, leaders who are revolutionary in their thinking, but solution-oriented in their approach. It expects its students to bridge the gap between contemporary socioeconomic challenges and sustainable solutions through design thinking. It is established as the first Design University in India and offers programmes at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
Who can apply for this scholarship?
The fellowship is open to students from all backgrounds. Preference will be given to students from the disciplines of architecture, design, planning, environmental sciences, civil and construction engineering, and relevant social science disciplines. They must also fulfil the following criteria:Applicants must have a sound academic record and should have successfully completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree before the start of the Fellowship.Applicants must be able to show a demonstrated commitment to improving the Built Environment and an understanding of the issues pertaining to the area.Students and professionals of all age groups, socio-economic backgrounds and geographies both in India and internationally can apply for the fellowship.

Q. Do I have to be based in Ahmedabad for the fellowship?
A. Yes, Anant Fellowship is a full-time residential program and all the Fellows will reside in a hostel accommodation provided by us.
Q. How are students’ financial needs assessed for financial aid?
A. Financial Aid is need-based. Once you are rolled an offer for the fellowship, you will be requested to fill in a Financial Aid form which will be sent via email. In the form the candidates will have to furnish the following documents prior to your interview process:• Last 3 years Income Tax Returns for your parents/earning members of the family
• Annual complete School Fee Receipt for Grade XII
• Bank Account Statement for the last 12 months of all earning members of the family
• Details of Family Financial Asset(s) (movable and immovable property, investments, etc.)
• Company Income Tax Returns and Bank Statements (for Business families)
Q. What do I get at the end of the Fellowship?
A. Besides an enriching year, life-long friendships and professional networks, and immense future prospects, you will be awarded a post-graduate diploma in Built Environment.
