GATE 2019: Apart from admit card, you need these documents to enter exam hall

For the 2019 academic session, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2019), is being organised by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras

 

The GATE 2019 examination will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, 2 February, and ends on Sunday, 10 February. 

 

The IIT Madras recently released the list of duplicate candidates rejected, rejected candidates and candidates whose applications have been found defective and are Provisionally only accepted on its official website.

 

The candidates who have applied for the GATE 2019 entrance examination are advised to visit the official website to check their application status. 

 

The admit card for the GATE 2019 examination will be made available on GOAPS website from January 4, 2019. The candidates should note that the admit card will only be available on the GOAPS website and will not be sent by post or e-mail. 

 

The candidates should also note that the GATE 2019 Admit Card alone is not sufficient to gain entry to the examination centre. The admit card will be valid only if the candidate’s photo and signature pasted on the admit card are clear and legible. The admit card should be printed in colour only. Along with the print-out of the GATE admit card, the candidates need to carry the original and valid photo identity document, which was specified during the filling up of the GATE online application form. Remember to carry the original document as photocopy/scanned copy/expired document will not be accepted.

 

Candidates can carry any of these valid photo Identity Document:

 

Indian candidates

  • Passport
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID
  • Aadhaar-UID
  • College ID
  • Employee ID
  • Driving License

 

International candidates

  • Passport
  • Government issued ID
  • College ID
  • Employee ID
