I have heard a few of my classmates say that education is not everyone’s cup of tea. Most of them dream about a world in which they never have to get educated! But they forget that getting educated can be made amusing if they think about the topic through brainstorming. They should take education as fun or entertainment but not as labour. As Lydon B Johnson had once said, “Education is the key to opportunity in our society, and the equality of educational opportunity must be the birthright of every citizen.”
Education itself is the cause of the foundation of society and systematic order which inculcates economic and political stability as well as social prosperity. As a child we dream of becoming a great as well as an inspiring personalities to the world. These dreams can come true only through education.
In fact, it is one of the key elements of development and the only solution to poverty and unemployment. Understanding its importance, the government has launched several schemes to promote quality education such as — Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Adult Education and Skill Development Scheme, National Means come to Merit Scholarship Scheme, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign etc.
The country about which we dream today can become a reality tomorrow if we spread awareness about the importance of education. There is a famous saying — If we feed one person, we will eliminate his hunger only once but if we educate a person, we will change his entire life as he will become capable of earning a livelihood by himself. In the end, Education is the spirit of a nation that destroys the darkness of illiteracy and brings light to the world.
