DGP sanctions meritorious scholarship

JAMMU, June 16: Encouraging and appreciating the hard work of the wards of police personnel who have excelled in 10th and 12th annual examination during the academic session 2020-2021, the Director-General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned meritorious scholarships of over Rs 15.50 lakh in favour of 308 wards of serving police personnel and SPOs.
The DGP has sanctioned Rs 9.33 lakh for 155 meritorious wards of serving police personnel and SPOs who have secured above 90 per cent marks in the Annual Examination of Class 10th and 12th during the academic session 2020-21. Among these, Rs 7200 each have been sanctioned in favour of three meritorious wards of class 12th and Rs 6000 each have been sanctioned in favour of 152 meritorious wards of class 10th.

He also sanctioned meritorious scholarship of Rs 6.24 lakh in favour of 153 wards of serving police personnel and SPOs who have secured 80 per cent and above marks in the Annual Examination of class 10th and 12th during the academic session 2020-21. Among these, Rs 6000 each has been sanctioned in favour of eight meritorious wards who have secured 80 per cent and above marks in class 12th and Rs 4000 each have been sanctioned in favour of 144 meritorious wards who have secured 80 per cent and above marks in the annual examination of class 10th.The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund and Police Pariwar Fund.
