IIM Sambalpur Placement: Highest Package At Rs 64.61 Lakh, Women Students Record Rs 18.25 Lakh Average Salary

IIM Sambalpur Placement: The Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur (IIM S) has concluded its placement season for its MBA (2021-2023) batch. This year, the institute recorded 100 per cent placement, with the highest package of Rs 64.61 lakh per annum (domestic) and Rs 64.15 lakh per annum (international).

Interestingly, this year, the average salary for women candidates is more than the average salary in general. The average salary is Rs 16.64 lakh per annum and the median salary is Rs 16 lakh per annum for MBA batch 2021-2023. However, the average salary for women students is Rs 18.25 lakh per annum.

This was also the largest batch size of the outgoing cohort that participated in the placement, with sales and marketing emerging as the most popular sector as it attracted over 27 per cent of the batch, followed by General Management with 21 per cent.

Additionally, the average for the top 10 per cent of the batch is Rs 31.69 lakh per annum.

More than 130 recruiters participated in the recruitment process at IIM Sambalpur, with 75 new recruiters making offers across various domains. The main companies offering the highest packages were Microsoft, Vedanta, Tolaram, Amul, Adani, EY, Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, and Amazon, and more.

The highest package and average salary has seen a major increase since 2017. While the average placement is Rs 16.64 lakh per annum this year, it was Rs 9.15 lakh per annum in 2017. Similarly, the highest package increased from Rs 13.80 lakh per annum to Rs 64.61 lakh per annum in 2023.
