Former head of department of Metallurgical Engineering at IT-BHU (now IIT BHU), Dr Ramesh Chandra Gupta has donated a sum of Rs 5 lakh to Banaras Hindu University. The university will soon institute a scholarship for meritorious students of first year MBBS, belonging to the economically weaker background.
