Eligibility

The mother/guardian of the student must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below in order to avail the benefits of the scholarship scheme:

  • The mother/guardian of the children should be a resident of the State of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The child/children of the mother should be pursuing their studies in Class 1 to Class 12.
  • The child should be admitted/enrolled in the following recognised schools or colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh:
    * Government
    * Private Aided
    * Private Unaided School
    * Junior College
    * Residential School
    * Junior College
  • The total family income must be the following:
    * ₹10,000 per month at least for the applicants residing in the rural areas
    * ₹12,000 per month at least for the applicants from BPL families living in the urban areas
  • No family member of the child should neither be a government employee nor a government pensioner. The families of sanitary workers are exempted from this requirement.
  • The family member(s) of the applicant should not be an income tax payee.
  • The attendance of the student in the schools or colleges should at least be 75%.
  • The family of the applicant should not own a car (except for taxis, tractors, and autos).

Note:- The students of Class 10 opting for IIT/Polytechnic/IIIT and other courses which make them eligible for the Jagananna Vidya Deevena/Jagananna Vasathi Deevena scheme will be excluded.

Benefits:
Eligible mothers or guardians of child/children studying in Class 12 will be sanctioned ₹14,000 per annum in the month of January every year. It will be deposited directly into the savings account of the beneficiaries in a Nationalized Bank or Post Office until the child passes Class 12.

Note:- An amount of ₹1,000 will be deducted at the source for each beneficiary and released to the school/college committee as District Toilet Maintenance Fund (DTMF). This money will be used to maintain toilets in all government schools and junior colleges in the district. The district collector is responsible for managing this fund.

  • White Ration Card (White Ration Cards are given to people placed in the APL category.)
  • Caste Certificate
  • Proof of Address (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID Card/Electricity Bill)
  • Name of the school where the child is studying
  • Bank account details of the mother or the guardian
  • Passport-size photo of the mother
  • School’s identity card to confirm that the student studies in the mentioned school

How can you apply?

Eligible mother/guardian can apply under the scheme with the help of the school headmaster/inter-college principal by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in the required registration details.
(Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile Number/Email ID)
Step 3: The school headmaster/inter-college principal will submit the details of the students, including their name, age, name of the parent, disability status, castes including SC, ST, BC, EBC other than Kapu, Kapu Minority and Differently Abled categories.
Step 4: The details will be cross-validated with other government records, such as Childinfo/UDISE data and Civil Supplies data. The immediate inspecting officer of the institution will certify the details for payment.
Step 5: A provisional list of eligible candidates will be displayed in the village/ward secretariat for social audit. From the social audit, a list of ineligible candidates will be prepared along with the reasons for their ineligibility. The candidates will be informed of their rejection.
Step 6: The final list of eligible candidates will be prepared by the Welfare Education Assistant/Ward Education and Data Processing Secretary and approved by the District Collector. The e-KYC of the mother will be done through Biometric by the Volunteers/Welfare Education Assistant/Ward Education and Data Processing Secretary.
Step 7: Thereafter concerned District Educational Officers/District Vocational Educational Officer/Regional Educational Officer, and Intermediate Education will release financial assistance online to the savings bank account of the beneficiaries.
Step 8: The Volunteers/Welfare Education Assistant/Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary will get the acknowledgment from the mothers through biometric authentication regarding the receipt of the payment.
