Tamil Nadu TNDGE Board Exams: Plus 2 Exams from March 1, SSLC on March 26

The Tamil Nadu school education department on Thursday released the schedule for board examinations for Class 10, 11, and 12 students. School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi released the schedule while addressing the reporters in Chennai.

As per the schedule, Plus Two public examination will begin next year on March 1 with a language exam and it will take place till March 22. Plus One exam will begin on March 4 and it will conclude on March 25. Similarly, the SSLC public examination will commence on March 26 and it will take place till April 8.

The duration of the examination would be from 10.15 am to 1:15 pm. From 10 am to 10:15 am, the students would be provided time to read the question paper and verify other particulars before the commencement of the test.

The school education minister said that the exams have been scheduled in such a way that a three to five day interval is provided before the main subjects, giving students enough time to prepare themselves better.

The results of the public examination are set to be declared on May 6 for class 12, May 14 for class 11 and May 10 for class 10. The practical exams will take place from February 12 till February 17 for class 12, February 19 to February 24 for class 11 and February 23 till February 29 for class 10.

The Tamil Nadu minister added that the exams were scheduled with an eye on the Lok Sabha elections next year and if a situation arises where the exam would clash with the election dates, then they would take a decision accordingly.

“The officials say that the election will tentatively take place in the last week of April. We have announced the schedule keeping account of that. The election commission has also said that they would announce the dates keeping in account of the exam schedule. Based on the directions of the Chief Minister, to ensure the students start preparing for the exams, we have announced the schedule now,” Anbil said.

The minister added that they will take measures to ensure no malpractices or irregularities occur during the exam.
