Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Delhi 2023-24

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Delhi
  • belong to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category
  • be studying at post-matriculation/post-secondary (college/university) in government-recognised institution
  • have an annual family income of not more than ₹2,50,000
  • have secured an attendance of at least 75% in the previous year
  • not be receiving any other centrally/state-funded scholarship

The following applicants are ineligible for the scholarship scheme:-

  • Applicants who, after completing one stage of education, continue studying in the same stage but in a different subject e.g. pursuing a B.Com. after a B.A. degree or enrolling in an M.A. program in a different subject.
  • Applicants who have already completed their education in one professional line, for instance, pursuing L.L.B. after B.T./B.Ed.
Benefits

The selected students will receive the maintenance allowance in the following manner:-

Groups Hostellers (in ₹ per annum) Day Scholars (in ₹ per annum)
Group 1

a) Degree and postgraduate level courses in Medicine (Allopathic, Indian, and other recognized systems of medicines),  Engineering, Technology, Planning,  Architecture, Design, Fashion Technology,  Agriculture, Veterinary and allied Sciences,  Management, Business Finance/Administration, Computer Science/Applications

b) Postgraduate diploma courses in various  branches of management & medicine

c) C.A./I.C.W.A./C.S./I.C.F.A. etc.

d) M.Phil., Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral programmes  (D. Litt., D.Sc. etc.) of Group I, Group II and  Group III courses

e) LLB Integrated, LLB, LLM degree

Group 2

Professional courses leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate “shall mean all professional courses leading to a degree, M.Ed/M Pharma, diploma, a certificate in areas like Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Nursing (B.Nursing), BFS, other Para-medical branches like rehabilitation, diagnostics, etc., Mass Communication, Hotel Management & Catering, Travel/Tourism/Hospitality Management, Interior Decoration, Nutrition & Dietetics, Commercial Art, Financial Services (e.g. Banking, Insurance, Taxation, etc.) for which entrance qualification is minimum senior secondary (Class 12).

Vocational stream ITI courses and polytechnic where entrance qualification is Class 12 or above.

Graduate and postgraduate courses shall mean courses not covered under Groups 1 & 2, e.g. B.A/B.Sc/B.Com etc.  M.A/M.Sc/M.Com, etc

Any course taken after completing Class 10 (High School) that doesn’t award a degree is considered a post-matriculation level non-degree course. This includes:

a) Senior Secondary Certificate (Class 11 and 12): Both general and vocational streams.
b) ITI courses: Industrial Training Institutes offer skill-based training in various trades.
c) Three-year diploma courses in Polytechnics: These courses provide specialized knowledge and skills in specific fields.
d) Other examples: Pharmacy Diploma, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Hotel Management courses, Travel and Tourism Management, Interior Designing, etc.

Note:- The list of courses in various groups is indicative and States/UTs may add courses as per laid down standards in the State/UT.
The selected candidates will also receive the following benefits other than maintenance allowance:

  • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
  • Study tour charges
  • Thesis typing/printing charges for research scholars
  • Book allowance for students pursuing correspondence courses
  • Book bank facility for specified courses
  • Additional allowance for students for the complete duration of the course

Note:- Scholars will be paid for compulsory fees, including enrolment/registration, tuition, games, union, library, magazine, medical examination, and other fees payable to the institution or university/board. Refundable deposits like caution money and security deposits will be excluded.

Documents

  • Aadhaar card
  • Aadhaar-seeded bank account details of the student
  • Certificate, diploma, degree, marksheet for all previously passed examinations
  • Caste certificate issued in the name of the students or their father’s by the competent authority of the Government of NCT of Delhi
  • Original fee receipts for the current academic session
  • Fee structure with the official letterhead of the concerned institute with stamp and signature of the head of the institute
  • Income certificate issued by competent authority (SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), or Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi)
  • Certificate from the institution confirming that the student is not receiving any other scholarship or stipend
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: 
Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in the required details to register (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to ‘Apply Services’ and click on it.
Step 4: Now. click on the ‘Register‘ button, select the Aadhaar card for the document type, enter the Aadhaar number and captcha code.
Step 5: Tick the checkbox and click on the ‘Continue’ button to register.
Step 6: After successful registration, log in using the credentials (user ID, password, and captch code).
Step 7: Select the scholarship scheme and fill the relevant details.
Step 8: Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
