Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Manipur 2023-24

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian national
  • be a domicile of Manipur
  • belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category
  • have completed high school (Class 10) or higher secondary, with a passing grade from a recognised university or board of education
  • have an annual family income of less than ₹2,50,000 during the previous financial year

Note:- 

  • The ceiling on age limit for admission as regular students in different classes will be decided by the concerned institutions.
  • Students, who pursue their studies through correspondence/online courses, are also eligible. The term correspondence includes distance and continuous education for courses in Central/ State Universities only.

The following students are ineligible to apply for the scholarship:-

  • Candidates who, after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in a different subject e.g. Intermediate Science after Intermediate Arts or B.Com after B.A. or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in other subjects.
Benefits

The scholarship includes the following components for the complete duration of the course:- 

a) Compulsory non-refundable fees including tuition fees, as fixed by the Fee Fixation/Rationalization Committee of the State Government

b) Academic allowance as follows:

Category of courses Hostellers (In INR annually) Day Scholars (In INR annually)
Group 1: Degree and postgraduate-level professional courses 13,500 7,000
Group 2: Other Professional courses leading to degree, diploma, or certification 9,500 6,500
Group 3: Graduate and postgraduate courses that are not covered under Groups 1 & 2 6,000 3,000
Group 4: All post-matriculation non-degree courses 4,000 2,500

Note:- 

  • Ten percent extra allowances shall be provided for Divyang students.
  • Students pursuing C.A. /I.C.W.A. /C.S. /I.C.F.A. will be treated as day scholars for academic allowance.
  • Students studying through correspondence/online courses will not be eligible for the academic allowance.
  • Students who are eligible for the scheme will be able to enroll in institutions without having to pay their tuition or dorm fees upfront. The state government will give eligible students a freeship card, which will allow them to study at the institution without paying any fees upfront. When the amount is transferred to the student’s account, the institution will be informed and they will be able to collect the fees from the student.
How can you apply?

Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: 
Click on the ‘Apply Now’ link below.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Applicant Corner’ and click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the ‘Continue’ button.
Step 5: Select the respective Aadhaar option, enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, and submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on ‘Save & Register’ to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the ‘Fresh Application’ tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application.

Note: All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.
