To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- belong to the EWS category
- be a current undergraduate and graduate student enrolled in a recognised Indian university/institution
- have an annual family income of less than ₹3,50,000
Note:- Preference will be given to students who’ve secured admission to journalism degree courses at a government college.
A scholarship of ₹50,000 will be given to 5 selected candidates.
The scholarship is for one (1) year with an extension to the second year of study, as appropriate on a case-to-case basis. The scholarship shall be conditional on the scholar maintaining a satisfactory level of performance as determined by the college. The maximum duration of the scholarship award is two (2) years.
