World Robofest 2019 : Hyderabad students emerged winners

International Robofest-2019 was organized by Lawrence Technological Univeristy(LTU) Michigan. Three students from Hyderabad obtained second and third positions in three categories.

 

A class 12 student of DAV Public School, Kukatpally Suhas Devulapalli, Aarnav Devulapalli, a class 10 student of Sentia The Global School, and Tarun Mukhesh, class 6, Manthan International School, Tellapur achieved this feat. The three students are trained at Tix Robotics, Miyapur.

Named as Teqq Televisors, the team consisting of the three Hyderabadis have secured second place in two categories—Unknown Mission Challenge and Game (Sr Game) categories. They have also secured third place in Bottle Sumo category (Pushing bottle or opponents off a table). 

 

A total of 250 teams for 16 countries have participated in the event organized by the LTU and competed in the junior, senior and college divisions.

 

Robofest encourages students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and Computer Science. Students design, construct, and program the robots during the event. Since its inception in 1999, over 25, 000 competed in the fest.
