About the Program
IISER Pune Research Associateship (DAE) 2021 is offering a research opportunity to Ph.D. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled – “3-D Seismic Scans of the Earth Interior Beneath Indian Region”. The fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship of up to INR 47,000 plus 24% HRA to INR 54,000 per month plus 24% HRA based on experience.
Associateship Details

Eligibility:
To be eligible, an applicant must –
- Not more than 35 years of age as on the last date of application.
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in Geophysics/Earth Science/Physics or relevant discipline.
- Have submitted the thesis.
Preferred Skills – Have working experience on numerical and theoretical skills in Seismology.
Benefits:
- The fellow will receive a consolidated fellowship of up to INR 47,000 plus 24% HRA to INR 54,000 per month plus 24% HRA per month based on experience.
Note – Candidates who have submitted their thesis, but not completed defense (i.e. candidates without a provisional certificate of having qualified for the degree), will be designated as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and paid INR 35,000/- plus 24% HRA per month till the time of submission of Provisional Ph.D. certificate.
