CUET PG 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will extend the registration deadline for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) 2023 examination soon, the UGC Chief, M Jagadesh Kumar, confirmed.

According to Kumar, CUET PG 2023 candidates will be given time till 9:50 pm of May 5 to apply for the post graduate entrance exam. Candidates have time till May 5 to apply at the official website — cuet.nta.nic.in.

The last date for payment of online fee is also May 5, but candidates will have time till 11:50 pm. The correction window will open on May 6 and will close on May 8. The dates of downloading of admit cards, and declaration of result will be displayed on CUET PG portal soon.

Kumar says the decision to extend the registration date was taken keeping in mind that several universities joined the CUET PG exam a little after the registration process commenced. “Many new universities / institutions / autonomous colleges / organisations have also joined CUET (PG) – 2023. In order to ensure that more options are available to the applicants for choosing courses / programmes of various newly added universities / institutions / autonomous colleges / organisations from all over the Country, it has been decided to extend the online Application Form for the CUET (PG) – 2023,” Kumar said.

Those students who have already submitted their application but would like to add more subjects can also choose more subjects (tests) / courses (programmes) / universities / institutions / autonomous colleges / organisations. The candidates who have already selected courses, can also replace / remove their earlier chosen subjects/ tests. However, candidates will have to pay additional fee (if applicable) for selecting more subjects (tests). Candidates may note that fee once paid will not be refunded.

Candidates should remember that they can only fill one CUET PG application. Anyone found with more than one application number will be treated as UFM (Unfair Means), even if found at a later stage, and strict action will be taken against that candidate.

This year, a total of 177 universities are participating in CUET PG 2023, according to the data released by the UGC Chief.
